Flag's 55th, final flight
The American flag on display at the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center's Spruance Hall in Louisville, Tenn., is last flown July 29, 1986, at the first reveille of NCO academy class 86-3. The flag took a 16-year journey to fly over the capitols of every state and territory in the United States. It was sent out by NCO academy class 71-1. (U.S. Air National Guard file photo/released)
