Human Trafficking
January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Human trafficking is a crime that victimizes millions around the world and represents one of the greatest human rights abuses of our time. The Combating Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) Program Office establishes policy and assigns responsibilities for CTIP. The Office ensures that the Services, Combatant Commands, and Defense Agencies have the necessary tools to prevent trafficking. For more information, visit http://ctip.defense.gov.
