New 988 dialing code to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
NAVAL HEALTH CLINIC PATUXENT RIVER, Maryland --
Starting Saturday, July 16, 2022, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline will change to a new three-digit dialing code: 988.
The lifeline is available to anyone experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, substance use issues or emotional distress (and their loved ones). For additional information, visit https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/988.
