Colonel ADOLPH S. RODRIGUEZ JR.

Colonel Adolph S. Rodriguez Jr. is the Deputy Commander of the 960th Cyberspace Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Chapman Training Annex, Texas. The unit is the only cyberspace wing in Air Force Reserve Command. As the wing deputy commander, Col. Rodriguez assists the commander with oversight of wing operations and staff activities of 16 direct reporting units and 1,300 personnel. The missions of these units include defensive cyber-operations (DCO); combat communications; command & control of cyber operations and DCO – Response Actions; nation-wide communication infrastructure management; cyber defense analysis; network operations; Initial Qualifications Training for cyber across seven weapons and dynamic support to offensive cyber operations. His responsibilities also include the coordination, organization and presentation of AFRC cyber forces to 16th Air Force, Air Forces Cyber, and United States Cyber Command.

Col. Rodriguez commissioned in 2001 through Officer Training School, Maxwell Air Force Base as a Distinguished Graduate. Prior to his current assignment, Col. Rodriguez served as the Deputy Principal Cyber Advisor to the Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington D.C., where he was responsible for advising cyber senior leaders with strategic and operational use of air force assets in the cyber domain. He assisted the DAF Principal Cyber Advisor with cyber operations best practices effecting 55,000 cyber professionals with policy and guidance in accordance with the national military strategy. Col. Rodriguez commanded two cyber operations squadrons, a combat rescue mission support group and was the Deputy Director, Legislative Affairs, USCYBERCOM. Throughout his career he has held a variety of assignments and leadership positions in air operations, space operations, and cyber operations at the Wing, Numbered Air Force, Air Staff and Joint levels.
