Second annual PACE Leadership Impact Award winners announced

Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas -- Seventeen individuals and four teams of Airmen and civilians from across the Total Force were recently announced as the 2017 PACE Leadership Impact Award recipients.

This is the second year the Profession of Arms Center of Excellence and Air University Leadership Institute is recognizing individuals who have established programs that are having a positive impact on their organization and on strengthening the Air Force’s culture.

The 2017 awards focused on innovations in leader development to include creating learning environments at all levels in the workplace that accelerate growth in decision making through role modeling, feedback and practice. Like the previous year’s winners, recipients will be invited to attend a three-day industry-sponsored leadership academy in June.

PACE is the Air Force’s dedicated champion to strengthening Air Force professional culture. Initiatives include infusing professionalism into existing training venues such as First Term Airmen’s Courses and Squadron Officer Course; delivering the affective instructional seminar “Enhancing Human Capital;” and providing leadership tools to ensure Airmen receive a continuum of professionalism development training at the appropriate touch points throughout their careers.
